Battle of Lletya - Turn 5
Dragoons! Realise that what goes up must come down! Down with a bad case of DEATH, HAHAHAAHAA!
Group A: Riders, head to L15 and wait for the rest to arrive. We're going east once they do. The rest, head east in a line, swordsmen first to M10 and the rest in tow. Once again, stay on your toes.
Group B: Swordsmen, take point and head to R6. The dragoons ahead might come around the corner, but you know what you have to do when they do. I'll be following close behind with the mages and knights.
Group C: Riders, there is a path up ahead: head to U8 and scout ahead for us - see if we're getting closer to Lletya. The rustling might come from there, so be careful! They might also come from behind, so watch your back. Swordsmen to M18, spearmen to L18, mages to K18, vipers to I18 and guard the rear, archers to M20* to cover the riders advance somewhat.
*the map doesn't reflect the archers' correct position; I moved them to J18 previous turn. They're going to M20 from there.
Forces: Group A 89 : I12 -> L10 98 : I11 -> M10 80 : I14 -> J10 89 : I13 -> K10 93 : M10 -> L15 55 : H14 -> I10

[attr="class","seren-container2"] Battle of Lleyta - Round 5 - [attr="class","seren"] Before the dragoons can jump away, your swordsmen rush in and slice them up to pieces. With only 12 remaining, General Gerillar easily takes them out with a perfectly timed explosive. The rest of your troops begin to make their way to the Eastern edge off the map. Soon your southernmost group reaches a large clearing, where they can see Llyeta just beyond. Unfortunately, the path to Llyeta is blockaded by the remaining warriors, led by a powerful looking dragoon knight. Hrmph indeed! Now that you've reached the clearing, you have a much better understanding of where things are! Men form up upon them but do not attack unless they attack first, we have only one target. I am sorry Safalaan, but it
seems you will be the only leader of what is left of your faction. Maybe we can still salvage this Safalaan.
We shall take Arcturus under custody and release him into your care if you wish. Safalaan, By order of Lord Lestor Lein
and the Free People I extend to you and those under your command and protection, a place among us as equals,
The Myreque may be gone but there goal to Help its people will live on through you and us. Please Safalaan,
there can still be peace.

[attr="class","zam-container2"] Battle of The Rott - Round 3 - [attr="class","zam"] Arcturus remains wordless as your men move to take him into custody, but the other Myreque Warriors walk to his position and pull him into his ranks. Other soldiers move to make up the hole in the formation. The Myreque burst into a clash against your troops, with the Sickle-wielding warriors lashing out with vigor against the Zamorakian aura of your men. At all the time, Arcturus leads the force of Warriors, jamming himself into anything that resembles a fight as a flash of ruby-infused silver. Swordsmen and spearmen are slashed, hacked, and shot profusely, and many lie dead. Your Swordsmen at L10 also see a way to pass through and surround the enemy spearmen on both sides. [attr="class","zam-container2"] Battle of The Rott - Round 4 - [attr="class","zam"] Your men move into the flurry, but the results are sickening. the location you send your 156 swordsmen to... well, it was a trap. Needless to say, all 156 swordsmen are killed by a combination of magical blasts, and the flurry of sickles, particularly Safalaan's Daeyalt-imbued ones. Your mages, though, make brutally effective work of the Myreque Warriors (and Arcturus) at K12, though, and with the strength of the 56 swordsmen as well, the Myreque warrior's numbers dwindle to 90, and Arcturus is now bleeding in several places, but your swordsmen there recieved some nasty losses in return. Just when it seemed like the Myreque were about to pull back the battle... The Myreque formations split, and their swordsmen, warriors, and Arcturus, fall behind the lines towards the gate to Meiyerditch to the west. The Myreque lines reform to close to gap, and continue battling your own troops. You sustain a few further losses, but none are as devastating to the troop's morale as the loss of all of your swordsmen. Those sorcerers finished the remaining 23 that the Myreque Warriors did not manage to kill while defending. Meanwhile, the Myreque could've had a miraculous leap in morale, had they not decided to retreat, which means their morale doesn't go much of anywhere. So now, you're left with a choice. You could let the Myreque go, and they'll undoubtably be a problem in the future, or you could chase after them in hopes of killing them while they're moving away. Of course, their attempts to fight on the defensive ensure that they can't run too fast. [attr="class","zam-container2"] Battle of The Rott - Round 5 - [attr="class","zam"] Now you're on the offensive, but even then, you're on even ground with the Myreque. You've cleverly managed to play to your troops' strengths, which is good. You barely manage to kill more troops than the Myreque kill back, but then again, most of the Myreque troops are preoccupied with their retreat to Meiyerditch. By the way, about that... Nosfu has been slinking about in this battle, and rather than helping you fight, he's done this: Well, now the Myreque's time is a bit more limited, but their retreat continues. [attr="class","zam-container2"] Battle of The Rott - Round 6 - [attr="class","zam"] Really, it's starting to get bloody. You pursue the Myreque forces as they make their retreat, and they make their heroic last stand. Many men die on both sides, but the main focus of the bloodshed is to allow the hurting Myreque troops to retreat to safety. If Arcturus can ever get the damn gate open. Speaking of which, Nosfu was about to attack Arcturus, but decided to take the time to rub it in. Arcturus grabs Nosfu, and uses him as a body shield as he holds his sickle close to Nosfu's throat. So this is what the Myreque resort to now? Killing Hostages? I cant command Nosfu's troops so your really out of luck.
Safalaan you see whats happening don't you? if Arcturus kills Nosfu his men will surely attack you.
can you honestly win a fight against 2 armies right now? many more die if we stay the course. Command Arcturus not to
kill Nosfu and we shall settle this with words rather then blood. Even if you do manage to escape we will only follow
with greater force, and if Nosfu dies, you will attract someone's unwanted attention to yourselves. It is time for us all to lay down
our arms and try to negotiate. This is your last chance to save what is left.

Battle of Lletya - Turn 6
Finally the enemy shows himself! Filthy humans squatting in elven lands. You have all heard the Lady's Song, comrades - you know Lletya must be purged of the frogmen.
Northern group: we're moving into the clearing.
Middle group: riders, stay put for now; we'll need your charging position later. The rest of you, move towards the exit into the clearing.
Southern group: riders, take up position at V21, but stay the reins. If the enemy moves towards you, retreat back to R20. You are not to engage yet. The other troops will move through the path towards the clearing.
We'll wait with attacking until most of us are in the clearing, brothers and sisters. The elves stand as a united people now, do not forget.
And be on your guard for those damned jumpers!

Urzanko: I'm just going to go ahead with the finale, as there would otherwise be only one more BT for the battle to be complete, and it'd be really lame for me to make you wait until next turn to get your reward, when the outcome is going to be basically the same anyways. Yuhkon: I re-made the listings of troops to make it easier for you and I to read, and to have consistency between all future battle turns. Let me know if a troop is out of place on either the map or the listing, as I was a bit rushed. [attr="class","zam-container2"] Battle of The Rott - Finale - [attr="class","zam"] Your troops stop what they're doing at the uncharacteristic action of the Myreque. The Vyreguards, now incredibly shocked and nervous, and not wanting to cause any undue bloodshed for fear of being blamed by Julienne, slowly shuffle out of the way of the gate. The Myreque soldiers stop attacking your own, and flee through the gate to get into Meiyerditch. Arcturus turns around with the sickle still at Nosfu's throat. Safalaan and the other Myreque Warriors flank the gate waiting for their leader to let go of the hostage. Then, without any warning, Arcturus flexes his wrist! All your men (and the myreque's men too) are shocked as Nosfu's decapitated body slumps over, and his head rolls around in the dirt. The startled Myreque flee through the gate, and manage to escape your grasp. Regardless, seeing as the former region's occupants are no longer here... Congratulations! You have won The Rott region! Along with this, you've won 3,000 wood, 3,000 stone, 3,000 metal, and 3,000 gold! Along with this, you've also gained +200 yield. Uhm... I also suppose you get Nosfu's head. I believe that's the last day before the Monthly Report, so it's still fair game. Since it's highly unlikely that you'll get the battle done next turn, I reccommend you get your turn post done at the same time. Otherwise, I'll take care of Round 7 Resolution when you post it.

Well that was an intense ending indeed. Damn terrorists. The funny part to me is that in the current game, the Myreque are actually freedomfighters and heroes trying to fight for the rights of humanity in the dystopia of vampyric rule. It really plays on the blurred line between Freedom Fighter and terrorist (and, at least to me, is quite a commentary on the Kurds in the Syrian Civil War).

Battle of Lletya - Turn 8
All right, brothers and sisters of Tirannwn... This is it! We fight for Lletya, that righteous and revered city of elvenkind! CHAAAAAAAAAAARGE! HAHAAAAAAAA, COME GET YOUR LLETHAL DOSE, DRAGOON LADY! WOOOOAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Northern group: Go make it to the battle, lazy mongrels! And be wary of those tree-hiding dragoons, of course.
Middle group: Riders, charge full-on into the enemy commander*. Sorcerers and crossbowmen, follow in the riders' wake and stick that commander with bolts. The rest will follow in close pursuit so that we can all make it out of the woods as soon as that commander is dead or pushed back. Swordsmen, spearmen and vipers will watch for dragoons and stick 'em if they jump from the woods.
Southern group: Riders**, charge into the mages. The archers and spearmen will follow you and aid in killing them all. Swordsmen, head to W15 and get the enemy sorcerers' attention. Mages will move to V20 to have your back. Vipers, head to S19 - you're on dragoon duty: keep an eye out for dragoons emerging from the trees and poison them if you can.
* I moved the riders to 015, so they are in front and can indeed charge. ** These riders were already at V21, and moved there two turns ago.

[attr="class","seren-container2"] Battle of Lleyta - Finale - [attr="class","seren"] Hildagarde holds her stance, awaiting the oncoming troops. Your riders charge her head on, but were devastated by her spearmanship. Despite that, they did deal a good amount of damage. Your troops in the North, led by General Gerillar, exit into the clearing. From the vantage point, they begin to realize why the dragoon leader is foolishly fighting on her own. In the far distance, the enemy dragoons that escaped into the trees are seen further vaulting to the far edge of the map! It appears their leader sacrificed herself to give her kin a chance to escape! By this time, Hildagarde has been struck down by your mages and crossbowmen and lies dead on the grass. The remaining humans, who took heavy losses from your combined attacks, realize that they have been effectively left behind, where the favored of them have been given a chance to escape. With the death of their leader, their morale plummets, and they surrender! ... So... Uh... Oh! Congratulations! You've gained the region of Llyeta! You gain 7,000 wood, 3,000 metal, and 5,000 gold in resources. You find an Ithell statue rather in tact that appears to be made entirely of runic energy - Because of it, you gain a yield of 200 runes. Because Vordu (I think his name is) handled this battle, as per tradition you get Hildagardes spearhead as a memento. Your men discover that the elves of old actually built a road that would REALLY HAVE BEEN HELPFUL TO KNOW ABOUT BEFORE EVERYBODY GOT LOST IN THE FOG!!! That can be restored for half the usual resources for a normal road. Finally, since the Dragoons did not realize the extent of your empire, they have gone into hiding for the next few months until they can figure a way out. If you wish, you can use one or two scouting parties to search your own regions for the dragoons for a (50%) chance to apprehend them. [attr="class","des-container2"] Duel for Citharede Steppes [attr="class","des"]
Eli arrives at Citharede steppes, riding fast upon his camel mount up the paths. Eventually he makes his way to the plaque on the wall where Cecilia was first contacted, the designated meeting spot of the duel. Thinking this area a poor area that restricts movement, he nervously waits for his opponent to arrive. The ghostly spirit of Cecilia appears in front of him, spooking the camel for a spell. Cecilia strums on her harp while looking lazily off to the sky. A man jumps down from the steppes wielding a quiverfull of javelins. The two get in stance on the rocky steppes, take a deep breath, and begin. Overall, the rocky terrain proved difficult for the camel to traverse, and the various height advantages gave the defending champion a nice edge. Fortunately, the enemy's constant barrage of javelins was consistently blocked by Eli's gauntlet and scimitar. In a final move, Eli managed to punch the warrior in the stomach with enough ferocity to knock him back (and down a cliffside or two.) When the dust settled, Cecilia and various ghostly bards appeared before the warrior. Due to the agreement, they begrudgingly depart the region, seemingly disappearing into the ground. The strykewyrms follow suit. So... Congratulations! You've gained the Citharede Steppes! You gain 4,000 Wood, 4,000 Stone, 2,000 Metal, 5,000 Gold, and a 200 Cloth yield. There appears to be a broken-down port on the very far side of the steppes. [attr="class","des-container2"] Battle of the Nardah Wetlands - Turn 2 Resolution - [attr="class","des"] Your bombardiers successfully drop some kalphites into the mouth of the cave. They're surprisingly doing well for floating about in some puddle. Your riders bound off to attack the mages and whatnot. Most of them escape onto the platforms, but your riders give chase (mostly out of fear of being reprimanded for not continuing the attack.) They managed to kill off a nice chunk of various troops along the way, and the Cannon, while it missed spectacularly, managed to take out the neighboring swordsmen. The altars begin to burn with a mystical flame, and your troops on higher ground begin to feel something coming from underneath. [attr="class","des-container2"] Battle of the Nardah Wetlands - Turn 3 Resolution - [attr="class","des"] Suddenly, and very rapidly, the canyon begins to fill with water - No doubt due to the efforts of the rainmakers. Your troops fight on valiantly, despite the rising tide, and manage to take out a great number of troops in the meantime! As the turn came to a close, the water was up to your troops stomach, but the Camel Riders of various forms didn't seem to mind. Jamir managed to get shot by a few archers, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. Then suddenly, you hear it. The hissing and growls of some crocodiles that have come in with the rising tide. They lower themselves below the water, trying to pick the next best prey. There would have been much more, but it appears the infestation of kalphites has managed to kill off some before they could make it through the caves!
